Sugar and Spice.

Last week we had the pleasure of photographing a client and close friend at our boudoir studio in Winston Salem, NC. Ms. K's birthday was coming up, and she wanted to celebrate with a boudoir session! We of course were more than happy to oblige! She was interested in our most recent boudie call theme, Sugar and Spice.

What is a Sugar and Spice session?

We have had so many people come in who want a traditional, pretty and classy boudoir session but also want to push their boundaries and explore their own sensuality. With this in mind, we decided to offer Sugar and Spice Sessions. The sugar side lets you have the "sweeter" side of boudoir, with pretty, lacy outfits and poses that capture your grace and beauty, while the spice side allows you to explore a different, sexier side of yourself. We bought some rhinestone pasties to add a little bit of sparkle, and pulled out some pretty outfits from the client closet.

At the start of Ms. K's session, we applied the rhinestone pasties and started with our favorite one size fits all rhinestone bodysuit from the client closet. We even pulled out one of our prisms to shoot through to add a little bit more sparkle! Then she changed into a pretty light pink bodysuit and we moved to the blue couch for some shots in that.

Once we finished with that, it was time to add some spice. We did an outfit change into a sexy black bodysuit and pulled out the bondage props. She chose to use our handcuffs and leash/collar set. By this point she was completely comfortable in front of the camera, and it was truly inspiring to see her push her boundaries and embrace her sensuality.

The images we captured during this boudoir session were stunning, and Ms. K was over the moon happy with how they came out. As boudoir photographers, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing our clients leave a session feeling empowered, confident and beautiful.
