Now that we've moved the boudoir studio back home, I actually have the opportunity to get in there and play around! I'll admit, I've always been super critical of myself and usually hate taking selfies, especially since I'm still pretty freshly postpartum right now. I've decided to work on that, so I got my booty in the studio, set up the tripod, and got to work.



Hello confidence boost!! I actually had a ton of fun, and would have gotten a lot more if the baby hadn't woken up from her nap. I was still feeling myself over the next few days, so I jumped in front of the camera again as soon as I was able to. I didn't even take the time to put on makeup or anything for that one, since I knew how limited my time would be. And let me tell you, I am in love with these photos!!!



It's crazy how much better I feel about myself. Being a professional boudoir photographer, I know the best way to get a confidence boost when you're not feeling yourself is getting in front of the camera. It's something I preach all the time. But sometimes it's hard to apply it to yourself. I needed that reminder. And I'm proof that you don't need to lose weight or even get dolled up to feel sexy and beautiful. Once I got in front of that camera, I forgot about the extra baby weight I wanted to lose or the fact that my skin is breaking out and I wasn't wearing makeup to cover it or that I haven't shaved my legs in I don't know how long...you can't even tell. All those things I was self conscious about weren't even noticeable. Boudoir helps those little insecurities melt away.
