As Shelby gets closer to her due date, we wanted to capture the beauty of her pregnancy in a intimate and unique way. So of course we did a maternity boudoir photoshoot! Our makeup artist, Andi met us at our boudoir studio in Winston Salem, NC, and did a beautiful job as always. She made Shelby feel like an absolute star! Once her hair and makeup was complete, we got started. Shelby unfortunately wasn't feeling her best (it's been a rough pregnancy), but she pushed through and did an amazing job! You can't even tell she wasn't feeling well, she looks absolutely gorgeous in all of her photos.
She started out in a blue bodysuit that looked absolutely amazing on her. Then she switched to our favorite 1 size fits all bodysuit- which did indeed fit around her baby belly! Then we decided to get some photos in just the sheets, then completely nude. We wanted to make sure we captured the full beauty of pregnancy.
Maternity boudoir isn't so very different from a regular boudoir session. We had to play around with some of the outfits to figure out what would fit properly, avoided the poses that wouldn't be comfortable or safe during pregnancy, and she took lots of breaks.
Despite not feeling good, we had a blast with her session and she said she had never felt more beautiful. Now that her maternity session is done, we're ready for our baby girl to arrive! July can't get here soon enough!
