A very so sexy it's scary Halloween Shoot with Biondi & Co Boudoir + Story Time.

If you know us here at Biondi & Co Boudoir, you know that we LOVE Halloween (Especially Shelby). However, this spooky season was a little different for us than usual. We had a lot going on in our personal lives (including 2 deaths in Joel's family within 2 weeks of each other) that had us feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything, so we decided that we were not going to do themed Halloween sessions this year. Of course we ended up doing a couple of Halloween sessions anyway, for the craziest reason.

If you didn't know, although we were both born in Florida, we both ended up in Ashe County, NC (one of the areas affected by Hurricane Helene) at different points during our childhoods, and we both mostly grew up there. Our best friends also grew up there and we all have family over there. After Hurricane Helene hit, we were all feeling overwhelming sadness over the devastation and destruction of the area we grew up in, as well as fear for our family members that we were unable to contact. Needing a distraction, we ended up in our boudoir studio, and were able to do a fun couples Halloween shoot with our best friends. Not only did it allow us to get some super sexy pics, it took our minds off of the fear and stress for a little while. All of our families ended up all being ok for the most part (no deaths, but there was an injury and severe damage to the home of our best friends mom), and for that we are so grateful.

It may sound strange or funny to use a boudoir shoot as a distraction or comfort during something so serious, but it truly did help distract us during such an emotional and scary time. And these photos are so amazingly sexy, it's scary 😝

After awhile, the male half of our couple had to go to work, but we still wanted to stay distracted so we dug out an old ghost costume and kept the spooky fun going. We love it when we can do a fun, silly shoot! We probably would have kept shooting if we didn't need to go be parents (movies and nap time only last so long!). These were so much fun to do, we might just offer them as a themed session next year!

Boudoir is about more than just taking beautiful pictures. It’s about creating a space where you can set your worries to the side for a short time and just be. It's a way to take control when everything else feels unsettled and scary. It's a distraction when everything else in your world seems to be falling apart. It was our way of coping when we felt scared and helpless. It may not be that way for everyone, but in that moment, it was everything to us.
